I grew up on the Kenai Peninsula in the great State of Alaska. After many years in the corporate world, mom and I opened Occasions Fine Gifts in early 2000 with the ongoing help of my husband, Jim and our son, John. Many of you have known Occasions as the specialty boutique located in the West Hills Shopping Center for the past 14 years. We prided ourselves on our customer service, eye for detail, unique and stylish gifts, and helped make our customers feel like they were part of the Occasions family.

Although we have closed the storefront and mom has retired (you may still see her from time to time), I have now gone out to continue Occasions on a more personalized basis. My focus will be on holiday decorating, corporate gifts, personal organizing services, personal shopping, and home accessorizing.

My goal is to continue to provide excellent customer service while striving to meet your needs.

  • Michelle transformed my home for the holidays. For the first time ever, I had a beautiful theme that carried from the tree to the mantle to the staircase, and from room to room. She used my existing decorations as well as new purchases but everything looked so much better with her ability to see the best location and arrangement for all the pieces. She also decorated my table for Thanksgiving and showed me how change it up for Christmas. My family and friends loved it, too!!
